St. Jean de Luz, France

Now we're starting to sail to some really beautiful places.  St. Jean de Luz is pretty enough to get its own post in my blog.

This is a human sundail.  You stand on it, and your shadow own shadow points to the correct time.

In Europe, you're never far from a church.  The only question is weather or not they are still active.  Most of these were.

Napoleon's Harbor (attempt)

Napoleon tried unsuccessfully for many years to make a harbor here before finally giving up.  A lesson he forgot in Russia.

I love rock formations

The Virgin on the rock is in the background.

This is called the virgin on the rock.  That's a statue of Mary up there.  And this bridge was designed and built by Gustav Eiffel.

By now I was hungry, and I was in France, to me that meant one thing.

Crepe with Grand Marnier
Unfortunately, crepes don't fill you up very much so, I had some Calamari as well.

With a side of Ocarina of Time 3D

Do you remember the building in Tallinn with the dragons for rain gutters?  Here is the same thing, but with cannons!

Cannon Drains

Here's a 360˚ panorama of the beach and town.  Click on it to make it bigger and have a look around.
